Risinger, 85, of Creighton, formerly of Brunswick. Franklin died Saturday at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Franklin M. Risinger, son of Reed and Velma Butterfield Risinger, was born September 3, 1916 at Venus, Nebraska. He attended rural District #30 School and Creighton High School. Franklin died Saturday at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Franklin M. Risinger, son of Reed and Velma Butterfield Risinger, was born September 3, 1916 at Venus, Nebraska. He attended rural District #30 School and Creighton High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945 and was stationed mostly in the South Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was married to Evelyn Veenker February 26, 1944 at Creighton. Seven children were born to them, Duane, Warren, Marilyn, LeRoy, Glenda, Stan and Donna. Franklin lived in the Venus, Brunswick and Creighton areas and farmed in partnership with Condon Family Farms for over 50 years. He and his wife moved to Creighton in 1995. He had been a resident of Creighton Care Centre since June 2000. As a young man, he played baseball at Oak View Park. He enjoyed card clubs, dancing, hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, VFW #1151 and the National Cattleman's Association. Franklin passed away November 24, 2001 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk at the age of eighty-five years, two months and 21 days. Survivors include four sons, Duane and his wife, Irene, Warren and his wife, Linda, all of Orchard, LeRoy of Neligh and Stan of Brunswick; three daughters and their husbands, Marilyn and Bill Cobler of Crofton, Glenda and Loren Poellot of Osmond and Donna and Randy Peterson of Bartlett; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Erb of Orchard; two brothers and their wives, Rex and Gladys Risinger of Center and Rodger and Maxine Risinger of Pierce; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Oregon of Bellevue and s sister-in-law, Margaret Risinger of Plainview.
