Description	:	Fred John Troudt, 100, the son of Henry and Christina (Weidenkeller) Troudt, was born July 23, 1906, in Jewell County. He died Wednesday, at the Superior Good Samaritan Center. Fred grew up in the Superior area, graduating from Superior High School. On March 2, 1930, Fred married Helen Marie Shaw at the parsonage of the United Methodist Church in Superior. He died Wednesday, at the Superior Good Samaritan Center. Fred grew up in the Superior area, graduating from Superior High School. On March 2, 1930, Fred married Helen Marie Shaw at the parsonage of the United Methodist Church in Superior. Fred and Helen celebrated more than 70 years of marriage together. In 1934 Fred became a partner in Troudt Eickmann Clothing store until their retirement in 1972 when it became Beckler's Clothing. Fred served his country in the United States army 717th Tank Battalion joining in 1943 and being honorably discharged in 1945. Fred and Helen visited many locations including Canada, Mexico and the southern United States. Many winters were spent in Texas and Arizona. Fred had been active in the Superior community. He had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church, life member of Superior County Club and a charter member of the Kiwanis Club and a member of the American Legion Post. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Aug. 28, 2000; brothers, Adam and Herman; sisters, Lillian Estep, Hulda Stover and Eunice Grove. Survivors include a nephew, Thomas Beckler, Las Vegas, Nev., a neice, Patricia Nelson, Billings, Mont.; nephew, Warren Troudt Kansas City; niece, Ileene Wenzlick, Kearney. Services were Monday at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior. The Rev. Mark Diehl officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Superior Express, October 19, 2006.
