Lillian Estep, daughter of Henry and Christina Troudt, was born March 5, 1894, in Superior. During her childhood, she lived on the family farm in northern Jewell County, Kansas, where she attended Oak Creek School. She was married to Art Estep March 11, 1916, at the home of her parents. To this union was born one daughter, Hulleen, and one son, Lennis. Mr. and Mrs. Estep observed their 68th wedding anniversary this year in the same house where they were married and their home for the past 48 years. She is survived by her husband, Art; son, Lennis, brother, Fred Troudt, and one sister, Eunice Groves, both of Superior; three grandsons, Dennis Hanson of Salina and Delvin Hanson and Lyndall Hanson, Mankato; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Hulleen, two brothers and one sister. Mrs. Estep was a member of the Rebekahs, Bostwick Lodge, and a charter member of the Helping Hand Club, an area organization. Superior Express, Thursday, October 8, 1984
