Description	:	Fred Porter of Parmelee, South Dakota was fatally injured last Saturday when thrown from a horse. He was taken to Winner, South Dakota for treatment but he was beyond medical aid or the skill of surgeons and the next morning passed away. Fred Porter was born the 13th of December, 1901 and died at Winner, South Dakota, May 22, 1932, at the age of 30 years, five months and eight days. Read More	Fred Porter of Parmelee, South Dakota was fatally injured last Saturday when thrown from a horse. He was taken to Winner, South Dakota for treatment but he was beyond medical aid or the skill of surgeons and the next morning passed away. Fred Porter was born the 13th of December, 1901 and died at Winner, South Dakota, May 22, 1932, at the age of 30 years, five months and eight days. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Porter of Albion, Nebraska, who preceded him in death. He grew to manhood in the Albion vicinity. On March 12th, 1930 he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Pratt of Elgin and to this union one child was born. In the spring of 1931 the family moved near Parmelee, South Dakota, where they were living when he received the injuries that resulted in his death. He was reared in a Christian home. Of his immediate relatives he leaves to mourn his loss his wife and small son, Fred Willard; five brothers, Don of Albion; Amos of Troutdale, Oregon; Ernest of Loretto; Robert and William of Bartlett; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Reynoldson of Albion and Mrs. Edith Essy of Council, Idaho. Besides these he leaves other relatives and a host of friends who will feel keenly his passing. Mr. Porter, from the time he received his injuries until his death, suffered without complaint and was very considerate of his wife. He was a kind and loving husband and father and a good friend and neighbor. The body was brought to the home of Mrs. Porter’s parents southeast of Elgin where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Jos. Stopford of Albion.
