Description	:	Mrs. Albert M. Porter died Saturday, January 24th, at 11:00 p.m. at her home near Albion where she has resided the past forty years. Her death was due to apoplexy. Rosella Caroline Fielding was born August 9th, 1862, at Toledo, Iowa, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Fielding. Her father died during the civil war and her mother remarried. She came to Exeter, Nebraska, with her mother and stepfather when seven years of age. They homesteaded there, experiencing the hardships incident to pioneer life. Her death was due to apoplexy. Rosella Caroline Fielding was born August 9th, 1862, at Toledo, Iowa, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Fielding. Her father died during the civil war and her mother remarried. She came to Exeter, Nebraska, with her mother and stepfather when seven years of age. They homesteaded there, experiencing the hardships incident to pioneer life. November 21st, 1880, she was united in marriage to Albert M. Porter. To this union were born nine children, Charles, who died in infancy, Mrs. Edith Essy of Council, Idaho; Amos of Troutdale, Ore.; Ernest of Loretto; Donovan, Mrs. Chas. Reynoldson, Robert, William and Fred of Albion. Mr. Porter preceded her in death, September 28, 1925. All of the children living in this vicinity were at her bedside when she passed into the Great Beyond, there to meet her Savior whom she had served so long and so faithfully, having given her heart to God in her youth. She leaves to mourn her loss, eight children, twenty-five grandchildren; one half-brother, R. C. Jacobs of Gettysburg, S. D.; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Chas. Olds of Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. Norman Godfrey of Dunning, Nebraska, besides a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the home and at the Church of God, at 2:00, conducted by Rev. Lawrence Hatch of Omaha. She was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery.
