Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at Gehrig and Son Funeral Home in Sidney. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at St. Patrick's Church in Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, also at St. Patricks with Father Ted Nekoliczak officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. Mr. Kloberdanz was born March 23, 1919 at Merino, the son of Frank and Catherine (Fuhr) Kloberdanz. He was raised on a farm north of Ster ling that grew sugar beets and livestock. He attended St. Anthony School in Sterling. His early years were spent in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later worked for Charley Deaver in the Lorenzo Elevator. Later, he worked as a meat cutter and truck driver. He retired from Dinklage Feed Lot in 1986 after having been there for ten years.Survivors include his daughter, Marge Nelson of Bloomfield, N.M.; his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Jane Kloberdanz of Cody, Wyo.; his sisters, Catherine Raisch, Eva Frank, and Barbara Talarico, all of Denver, Mary Gadell of St. Genevieve, Mo.., Margaret Loos of Burlington, Florence Schell and Theresa Lambert, both of Sterling; his brothers, Raymond Kloberdanz of Kent, Wash., Frank and Joe Kloberdanz both of Sterling; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. The family has designated the American Diabetes Association as the memorial.
