Description	:	Frederick William (Billy) Brennfoerder, prominent 67-year-old farmer living two miles north of Nelson, was found dead at his home about 10:30 last Saturday morning. Mr. Brennfoerder had been doing the farm chores and had stopped at a small concrete water storage tank to rinse out a milk bucket. Read More	Frederick William (Billy) Brennfoerder, prominent 67-year-old farmer living two miles north of Nelson, was found dead at his home about 10:30 last Saturday morning. He apparently died as the result of an embolism while leaning over the tank so engaged and fell into the tank where he was found by Victor Nielsen, who had come to the farm for some stock, and nearby neighbors. Official examination showed no signs of water in the body from which is concluded that death came entirely from natural causes. Frederick Wilhelm Brennfoerder, son of Mr. Frederick Wilhelm and Mrs. Louise Brennfoerder, was born near Firth, Nebraska, on September 26, 1881. In 1888 the family moved to the farm 7 1/2 miles northwest of Nelson, Nebraska. Here he was married to Miss Ella Schleif on June 18, 1908. Four children were born to them, two dying in infancy. In 1925 they moved to the farm two miles north of Nelson. Here he passed away suddenly in the morning of October 30, 1948, at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 4 days. Mr. Brennfoerder was baptized in infancy, and bacame a communicant member of the Lutheran Church through the rite of Confirmation; and has been a beloved and respected member of the Lutheran Church unto the day of his death. The deceased is survived by one son, Melvin of Omaha, and one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Worley of Nelson, four grandchildren, one brother, Henry of Edgar, Nebraska; and three sisters, Mrs. Caroline Damrow of Firth, Mrs. Mathilda Schleif of Superior, and Mrs. Augusta Cone of Tacoma, Washington; also by 45 nieces and nephews, besides a host of other relatives and friends. His wife, the two children, one sister, Anna, and one brother, Charley, preceded him in death. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Alvin Rueter of Salem's Lutheran church, at the Klawitter Chapel, at two o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial was in Nelson cemetery (sic). The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, November 4, 1948
