Description	:	Henry Fredrick Brennfoerder, son of William and Louisa (Rahe) Brennfoerder was born near Firth, Nebraska June 20, 1878. He passed away at the Fairfield Nursing Home Wednesday, September 5, 1956 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 15 days. He, with his parents, moved to Nuckolls county (sic) in 1890 and settled on a farm 7 1/2 miles west of Nelson. He was married to Martha Schleif on April 28, 1903. Read More	Henry Fredrick Brennfoerder, son of William and Louisa (Rahe) Brennfoerder was born near Firth, Nebraska June 20, 1878. He passed away at the Fairfield Nursing Home Wednesday, September 5, 1956 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 15 days. He, with his parents, moved to Nuckolls county (sic) in 1890 and settled on a farm 7 1/2 miles west of Nelson. He was married to Martha Schleif on April 28, 1903. Six children were born to this union: Albert of Davenport, Ernest of Fairfield, Arthur of Edgar, and Harley of Nelson. Two daughters died in infancy. He moved to a farm near Edgar in 1933 and into Edgar in 1942. He was baptized in infancy and became a communicant member of the Lutheran Church throught (sic) the rites of Confirmation. The two daughters, five sisters, and two brothers preceded him in death. His wife passed away April 19, of this year. Those left to mourn his passing include his four sons, their wives, twelve grandchildren, one sister, Matilda Schleif of Superior, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the St. James Lutheran Church in Edgar with Rev. Henry Dumler of Davenport in charge. Marjorie Ann Lobeda sang "Beautiful Saviour", "Rock of Ages" and "Abide With Me," accompanied by Mrs. Vern Watson. The pall bearers were: William Bergman, William Damrow, Andrew Brennfoerder, Melvin Brennfoerder, Virgil Schleif and Leo Schleif. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
