Read More	Once more the grim reaper, Death, has invaded our community and has taken from our midst an aged lady, Mrs. Louise Charlotte Rahe Brennfoerder, after a lingering illness of several months. Grandma Brennfoerder was born on the 8th of March, 1844, at Offelten, Westphalia Germany. Soon after her birth she was brought to her Saviour in Holy Baptism. After she had been instructed in the way of salvation and had learned the meaning of her baptismal covenant she renewed it at Holzhausen in the church of her choice on the 11th day of April, 1858. On the 21st day of April, 1865, she was married to William Brennfoerder, Sr., with whom she lived in holy wedlock for nearly 44 years. Nine children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy and two at a riper age, Anna Bergmann about 11 years ago, and Charles Brennfoerder of Lawrence about four years ago. On the 12th day of May, 1869, Mr. and Mrs. Brennfoerder with their little family left Germany and came to America, visiting a few months in Illinois, after which they came to Lancaster county (sic), Nebraska. In 1890 they came to Nuckolls county (sic) where Mr. Brennfoerder died on the 12th day of January, 1909. After the death of her husband, Grandma Brennfoerder had her home with her son William. It was also at his home about two miles north of Nelson, where she departed this life and fell asleep in her Saviour last Monday evening at about 8:30, having reached the ripe old age of 88 years, 8 months and 6 days. She leaves to mourn her departure her children: Mrs. Lena Damrow of Hebron, Mrs. Augusta Derby, Tacoma, Wash., Henry of Lawrence, William, Jr., of Nelson, and Mrs. Edward Schleif of Superior; 25 grand children, 14 great grand children and one aged brother of Dewitt, Nebraska. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon by her pastor, the Rev. Chr. Bunge, and the mortal remains of Grandma Brennfoerder were alid to rest in the Nelson cemetery (sic), where they await the Resurrection Morn. ---------------------- The Word of God declareth No man hath seen or heard The joys our God prepareth For th em (sic) that love their Lord.
