He was born in Penn. in 1825, and came to Iowa when a young man. Survived by three daughters. Body taken to County Line for interment. Note: Fred was married twice, first to Margaret PINKLEY who died in 1870, and then to Nancy WELSH. Margaret is also buried in County Line Cemetery, which has also been known as Dunn, Gonterman, or Rominger.... Here is some information about him taken from a Sollenberger family tree published in the 1920s: Frederick Sollenberger was the eleventh child of David and Catherine (nee Franz). He was born on May 2, 1826 near New Enterprise, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He married Margaret Pinkley (born March 19, 1827) in 1849. He joined his brother his older brother David, who had had moved to Jefferson County in 1846, in 1850. They both homesteaded farms there. Margaret passed away in 1866. They had five children: Susan born August 6, 1851 David born February 26, 1956 Lydia born Aug 3, 1853 Sara Jane born November 19, 1859 Christian born April 10, 1861 They were members of the Church of the Brethren.
