Description	:	Obituary Fredrich (sic) Wilhelm Danekas was born at Camden, in Seward County Nebraska August 28, 1872. He was baptized and confirmed in West Blue church and grew to manhood in that community. He was united in marriage at West Blue church by the Reverend J. P. Welsch with Miss Wilhelmina Tavis, on February 23, 1899. The young couple made their first home on the present Danekas farm, where they were destined to spend all of their lives. Read More	Obituary Fredrich (sic) Wilhelm Danekas was born at Camden, in Seward County Nebraska August 28, 1872. He was baptized and confirmed in West Blue church and grew to manhood in that community. He was united in marriage at West Blue church by the Reverend J. P. Welsch with Miss Wilhelmina Tavis, on February 23, 1899. The young couple made their first home on the present Danekas farm, where they were destined to spend all of their lives. This union was blessed with five children, three of whom survive their father. The wife and mother preceded the husband in death on April 6, 1954. Two children also preceded the parents in death; Martha in January, 1920 and Rolland in 1921. He with his father and brother William were active in the founding of the Farmers and Merchants Bank over fifty years ago, and had been Vice President all through the later years of the bank. He was also on the board of the Farmers Union Elevator of Milford for many years. He was very active in farming and the livestock industry for many years. After a brief illness he was taken to the Seward hospital where he passed away on June 15, 1955 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 18 days. He is survived by three children: Edith - Mrs. L. R. Yost of Milford, Katherine - Mrs. C. L. Davis of Lincoln and Stanley R. Danekas of Thedford, also four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three sisters and one brother also survive. They are: Mrs. Anna Mell, Mrs. Margaret Treu, Mrs. Etta Busboom, and Mr. Robert Danekas, all of Milford. Many other relatives as well as a host of friends survive also. The departed was a loyal member of West Blue church all his life and served in an official capacity as a member of the church board at different times. Services in memory of the departed were conducted at the Volland chapel in Milford and at the West Blue Evangelical and Reformed church on Saturday June 18, at 2:00 p.m. Earnest Welsch sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Face to Face", accompanied by Mrs. Lester McConnell. Reverend August Brueggemann, pastor of West Blue church officiated and the body was laid to rest in West Blue cemetery. Pallbearers were: John Danekas, Clarence Danekas, Elmer Danekas, Frank Busboom, Frank C. Busboom, and Harry Welsch. From The Crete News dated Thursday, June 23, 1955, page 5, column 7.
