Read More	Cemetery records indicate that her full name was Etta Margaretha Wilhelmina. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * OBITUARY Mrs. Fred Danekas Wilhelmina Tavis was born to Fred and Katherine Tavis July 30, 1879, on the farm 3 1/2 miles south of Milford in Seward county, Nebraska. She was baptized in the home of her parents on August 17, 1879, by Pastor Welsch. She was united in marriage to Fredrick W. Danekas in West Blue Evangelical Church by Pastor J. P. Welsch on February 23, 1899. This union was blessed with five children, two of whom preceded their mother in death; Martha in January 1920 and Rolland in September 1921. One brother, Frank Tavis, also preceded her in death. They began their married life on the present Danekas farm, which they have occupied for over 55 years. The departed was called to rest at the Memorial hospital, Seward, on April 6, 1954, very suddenly at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 6 days. She is survived by her husband, Fredrick W. Danekas; two daughters, Edith (Mrs. L. R. Yost) of Milford, Nebr., and Katherine (Mrs. Clifford Davis) of Lincoln, Nebr.; one son, Stanley R. Danekas of Thedford, Nebr. There is also one sister, Mrs. A. J. Duerr of Seward, Nebr., and one brother, Louis Tavis of Nixon, Calif. She is also survived by four grandchildren and many other relatives as well as friends. The departed was a member of West Blue Evangelical and Reformed Church all her life; she was an active member of the Woman's Guild of the church. She also was active in the Homemakers, Garden Club, Woman's Club, and the Busy Bees. In the Christian Education department of the Woman's Guild she was always the first to finish the prescribed reading course. This year, 1954, she had finished all of the assigned reading with the exception on one volume. Services were held in the Evangelical Reformed Church at West Blue on April 8 at 2 p.m., with Rev. August L. Brueggemann officiating. Ernest Welsch, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Lester McConnell, sang, "Going Home" and "Beyond the Sunset." Burial was made int he West Blue cemetery with Volland's in charge. Pallbearers were Clarence Danekas, John Danekas, Elmer Danekas, Harold Tavis, Fred Duerr and Kenneth Duerr.
