Description	:	The following information by Contributor: Don (46558676), his contributions are greatly appreciated: Frieda Mahannah, the daughter of William and Kathryn Ochsner Griess, was born November 7, 1887 at Sutton, Nebraska and died at Aurora, Nebraska on August 9, 1977, following several years of failing health, having attained the age of 89 years, 9 months and 2 days. Her childhood was spent in the vicinity of her birth where she received her education in the public schools of that vicinity. Read More	The following information by Contributor: Don (46558676), his contributions are greatly appreciated: Frieda Mahannah, the daughter of William and Kathryn Ochsner Griess, was born November 7, 1887 at Sutton, Nebraska and died at Aurora, Nebraska on August 9, 1977, following several years of failing health, having attained the age of 89 years, 9 months and 2 days. Her childhood was spent in the vicinity of her birth where she received her education in the public schools of that vicinity. After her graduation from the Sutton High School she attended business college in Lincoln for two years. On July 23, 1918 she was united in marriage to Charles C. Mahannah at Crete, Nebraska. Her husband's occupation caused several moves during their marriage, having made their home in several cities from the east to the west coast. Following their retirement in 1959 they came to Aurora for a short time and then moved to Tucson, Arizona, where they resided until August of 1965 when they returned to Aurora, where they were residing at the time of her husband's death on December 12, 1965. She continued to reside here. Mrs. Mahannah was a member of the Federated Church in Aurora and was active in her attendance at church affairs as long as her health permitted. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, W.F. and Leon Griess and three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Grosshans, Mrs. Margaret Grosshans and Mrs. Amalia Grosshans. Her only close survivors are her daughter Betty and her husband, Fredd Roos of Northbrook, Illinois; grandson, Paul Roos and nieces and nephews and many other relatives and close friends.
