She was married to William Wilken on February 19, 1936 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church parsonage of rural Sterling, Nebraska and they lived and farmed in the Adams and Sterling areas. She was born on September 1, 1916 at rural Sterling, Nebraska and attended Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School of rural Sterling, Nebraska. She was married to William Wilken on February 19, 1936 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church parsonage of rural Sterling, Nebraska and they lived and farmed in the Adams and Sterling areas. She worked at Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh, Nebraska for several years, was employed at the Beatrice State Developmental Center in Beatrice, Nebraska for ten years and did babysitting for several families in the Adams area. She moved to Adams, Nebraska in 1970 and then to Sterling in 1998. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Sterling, Nebraska. She enjoyed being around children. Survivors include three sons, LaVerne Wilken and his wife Lou of Talmage, Nebraska, Roy Wilken and his wife Alyce of Hutchison, Kansas and Duane Wilken and his wife Mary of Syracuse, Nebraska. Two daughters, Eileen Wentz and her husband David of Columbus, Nebraska and Beverly Schmidt and her husband Ronald of Eagle, Nebraska. 14 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren. One brother, Edgar Agena and his wife Jean of Adams, Nebraska. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard and Lena Walters Agena, her husband, William who died on October 12, 1987, two sons Ervin and James, two brothers John and George Agena, one sister Hannah Dorn and two step-great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Sterling, Nebraska with Pastor Harold Hintzman officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery of rural Sterling, Nebraska. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 Saturday in the parish hall of the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the Immanuel Lutheran Church Elders in charge. The body will lie in state at the Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling, Nebraska from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and then on Saturday at the church for one hour preceding the services.
