Description	:	OBITUARY Mrs. Lena Agena, who had been in failing health the last 12 years, died in Johnson County hospital Friday morning, April 15, 1966 at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 7 days. She had been in the hospital since March 17. Mrs. Agena spent the last three years of her life in a wheel chair but in spite of her suffering she was not a person who complained. She had been in the hospital since March 17. Mrs. Agena spent the last three years of her life in a wheel chair but in spite of her suffering she was not a person who complained. The loving care bestowed upon her by members of her family was greatly appreciated by her. Lena Walters, daughter of Gerd Walters and Jennie Ruiter Walters, was born Nov. 8, 1884 in Ostfriesland, Germany. In early infancy she was baptized. At the age of six months she came to America with her family. On April 7, 1901 she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Venango, Nebraska by Rev. Winnot. On Dec. 20, 1904 she was married to Bernhard Agena of Sterling, at St. John's Lutheran church south of Sterling. This marriage was blessed with five children, all of whom survive their parents. They are John, with whom she had been making her home; Hannah (Mrs. Harm Dorn) of Beatrice; George of Adams; Frieda (Mrs. William Wilken) of Crab Orchard, and Edgar of Rapid City, South Dakota. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Walters of Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away Dec. 3, 1935; her parents, one brother, one sister and two grandsons.
