Description	:	Gale Willis Wegner was born to his loving parents Willis Carl and Ina J. (Benne) Wegner on Sunday August 16, 1942 at West Point, Cuming County Nebraska. Gale was raised with his two younger brothers on a dairy farm just north of Scribner, Dodge County Nebraska. Gale attended school in the Scribner area. I recall Gale cruised his beautiful black "59" Chevy Impala two door hardtop around the strip at Scribner. Read More	Gale Willis Wegner was born to his loving parents Willis Carl and Ina J. (Benne) Wegner on Sunday August 16, 1942 at West Point, Cuming County Nebraska. Gale was raised with his two younger brothers on a dairy farm just north of Scribner, Dodge County Nebraska. Gale attended school in the Scribner area. I recall Gale cruised his beautiful black "59" Chevy Impala two door hardtop around the strip at Scribner. I was very saddened to learn that Gale was accidentally electrocuted after his car left the road striking a power pole. A power line was knocked off the pole from the impact. Gale was climbing back onto the roadway in the dark when his forehead came into contact with the down line, he died instantly. Gale was with his friends celebrating his leaving for the Navy. Sadly Gale passed on Saturday February 11, 1961 at the age of 18 years, 5 months, 26 days which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 6,754 days. My research found no information on Gale's funeral service. Gale was interred in the Wegner Family plot in section 1, lot 52 of the Scribner Municipal Cemetery. Gale's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Gale by a friend Loren R.
