Description	:	Joel L. "Wags" Wegner was born to his loving parents Willis Carl and Ina J. (Benne) Wegner on Saturday February 2, 1952 at rural Scribner, Dodge County Nebraska. Wags was raised with his two brothers on his parent's dairy farm just north of Scribner. Wags graduated from Scribner High in 1970. Wags holds many Scribner's football records to this day. Read More	Joel L. "Wags" Wegner was born to his loving parents Willis Carl and Ina J. (Benne) Wegner on Saturday February 2, 1952 at rural Scribner, Dodge County Nebraska. Wags was raised with his two brothers on his parent's dairy farm just north of Scribner. Wags graduated from Scribner High in 1970. Wags holds many Scribner's football records to this day. Wags was united in marriage to Beth Perry of Fremont, Dodge County at West Point, Cuming County on Saturday July 4, 1970, the couple were blessed with three daughters over the years of their marriage, they later divorced. Wags had a soulmate of 30 years named Dorothy. During Wags life, he enjoyed playing softball, the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trapping. Wags also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In his later years Joel always enjoyed following and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Wags lived in Scribner his whole life. Sadly Wags passed on Saturday April 3, 2010 at the age of 58 years, 2 months, 1 day which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 21,245 days. Wags' memorial visitation with family was held on Thursday evening April 8, 2010 from 4p to 7p at the Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Following Wags' chapel visitation, friends were invited to socialize at Mel's Bar. Wags was interred in the Scribner Municipal Cemetery. Wags' information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Wags by Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
