A gift of Faith, Strength, and Courage to family and friends alike. He was born January 28, 1947 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Oneita F. Parrish Walker and U. Earl Walker. He will forever join his beloved wife E. LaVonne Dollins Walker in the grandeur and joys of eternal life. There the Author amends, corrects, restores, and Finishes the work of amazing and splendid grace begun here. Gary and his family relocated from California to Arkansas 1972 where in Springdale he and his wife raised their four children; Steven Walker (Boneux), Chalon Walker Collins (Michael), James Walker (Cheryl), and DeShon Walker (Daivd Whiteley). He was blessed and survived by grandchildren, Dionne Dollins Collins, Walker Michael Collins (Hannah and great granddaughter Charlie), and Alexa LaVonne Walker. Also surviving Gary is a special Aunt Ava Walker of Fayetteville, AR. Brother-in-law Rev. Ray Bowen, nieces Anita Andres, and Charlotte Mason (James) of Moreno Valley, CA. as well as extended family, and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife E. LaVonne Dollins Walker, his parents Oneita F. Parrish Walker and U. Earl Walker, his older sister Neita Earlene Bowen. He was a lifetime member of The Assemblies of God Fellowship; a graduate of The University of Arkansas, a freelance artist, and insurance specialist; He worked as a marketing manager, merchandise buyer, and operations manager for Wal-Mart. He and his wife were enterprising, owning and operating several businesses in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Vigorously, he embraced the fullness of his days always anticipating with wonder the moment and vastness of 'Forever.' Gary's absence leaves a void in our lives, but his presence with the Lord beckons us onward to the finish. Our love for him remains constant and spans to fill the vacancy. Mortality is swallowed up of life eternal. Arrangements are by Westfield Chapel Funeral Home of Springdale. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 6 p.m. Graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery, Springdale, Arkansas.
