Mrs. Wright, 91 years of age and a resident of Hamilton County for more than 40 years, passed away Thursday morning, July 22, at the Aurora hospital. She had been in failing health for more than a year. She was born in North Manchester, Indiana on September 11, 1862, the daughter of Neri and Nancy J. Mowrer. She was married to Ledrew M. Wright on September 15, 1882. Five sons were born to them. Mr. and Mrs. Wright moved to Nebraska in 1884 and settled on a farm four miles south of Aurora, where they resided for 33 years. They moved in 1917 to Chappell, where Mr. Wright died in 1926. Mrs. Wright resided in Chappell until 1945, when she returned to Aurora and made her home at 810 Ninth Street. Early in life Mrs. Wright united with the Christian Church in North Manchester, Indiana. When she came to Nebraska, she united with the Lysinger Presbyterian Church and later united with the same faith in Aurora. Survivors include four sons, Oscar and Joe of Chappell, Wilmer at Schenectady, New York, and Claude of Aurora; 17 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Estel, who passed away at Hampton in 1909. Transcribed from the "Aurora News-Register" dated July 30, 1954
