Frieling, 69, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, from complications from cancer. Funeral services will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Fort Benton, July 24, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Frieling, 69, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, from complications from cancer. Funeral services will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Fort Benton, July 24, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Genevieve was born April 13, 1928, in Rushmore, Minn., to William and Elizabeth Siebenaler. They later moved to North Dakota and then to Montana. In 1946 she graduated from Fort Benton High School. After school she worked as a bank teller in Fort Benton and as a receptionist for Monarch Lumber in Great Falls. She married John E. Frieling on June 6, 1949. From 1955 on, she helped manage the local Vets Club with her husband until his death in Jan. 1994. She retired in April of that year. She enjoyed bowling, darts, fishing and going to her cabin in the Shonkin mountains with her husband and children. She was an early member of the Community Improvement Association of Fort Benton, member of the local, district and state VFW auxiliary, holding positions at every level. She was a member of the local and state MOC Auxiliary, being their secretary and treasurer, she cooked for the Kiwanis from 1975 to 1994. She is survived by four sons, Gregory A. Frieling, Lake Zurich, Ill., John A Frieling, Sumner, Wash., Duane L. Frieling, Fort Benton, and Douglas D. Frieling, Great Falls; a daughter, Paula Jean Moorehead, Fort Benton; two brothers, Warren Siebenaler and Lawrence Siebenaler, of Fort Benton; two sisters, Florence Mau and Julie Stevens, of Great Falls; eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant daughter, Darleen.
