Description	:	George Christian was the son of Marie Clara Denzer and Johannes Langscheid Sr. They were engaged in farming in Heistenbach, Germany. Through records at St. Peter's Evangelical Church in Diez, the Langscheid line is traced to Johannes Langscheid Jr, born 1669, and buried Sep. 11, 1741 in St. Peter's Cemetery. George Christian and Maria Catherine emigrated to the United States in 1854 with four of their children. One daughter, Margaret, and her husband, Anthony Opperman, emigrated before them in 1851.
