Description	:	George Elmer Mosier the fourth son of Thomas Bennet Mosier and Geals (sic) Statler Mosier, was born February 14,1874, at New Holland, Illinois, and passed away at his home in Chester, Nebraska, on March 13, 1953, at the age of 79 years and 21 days. His three elder brothers have preceded him in death. His youngest brother Charley E. Mosier and one of his twin sisters, Mrs. Alton Voigt live in Davenport, Nebraska. The other twin sister, Mrs. Ralph Voigt, lives at Pasadena, California. At the age of 9 years, he went with his parents to Iroquois, So.... His three elder brothers have preceded him in death. His youngest brother Charley E. Mosier and one of his twin sisters, Mrs. Alton Voigt live in Davenport, Nebraska. The other twin sister, Mrs. Ralph Voigt, lives at Pasadena, California. At the age of 9 years, he went with his parents to Iroquois, So. Dakota, where they lived six years, when he was 15 years of age he moved with his parents to a farm, 7 miles south of Davenport, Nebraska. In 1893 he was united in marriage to Emma Rosella Beavers, who passed away on October 23, 1926. To this union were born four sons, Walter T. of Chester, Nebr., Alfred T. of Beaumont, Calif., Elmer L. of Chester, Nebr., and Clyde Franklin of Belleville, Kansas. He was married to Mrs. Mattie Baugh in 1927. He has lived in this community for 54 years. He has farmed all his life and loved to see things grow. He leaves to mourn his death, his faithful wife, his four sons, a step-daughter, Mrs. Hal Holman of Emporia, Kansas, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. In 1913, Ida Ensley Moxham came to make her home in his household, she has been as one of the family ever since. Always ready in sickness and helping with the family reunions. On September 23, 1904 he and his wife Rozella (sic), united with the Church of Christ under the pastorate of Rev. D.G. Waggner. A few years later, all four sons made the good confession. He has been a faithful member through the years. May his soul rest in peace. Funeral services were held Monday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. from the Chester Christian Church with the Rev. George Randall officiating. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
