Later they moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa. In the fall of 1858 they came to Lawrence county, Missouri. In April, 1862, they came to Allen county, locating on a farm in Cottage Grove township. Mr. Noyes came to Humboldt thirty-four years ago. He had engaged in various lines of business in this city since that time, with the exception of four years, when he lived in Iola while serving as under sheriff of Allen county. Six years ago the family returned to Humboldt, where they have resided since. The deceased was married to Maggie Cation, to which union two children were born. His wife passed from this life November 21, 1882. In October, 1886, he married Melissa M. Allen. To this union five children were born, one of whom died in infancy. Mr Noyes passed away Thursday morning, November 30, at six o'clock. He is survived by his family and one brother, Ira W Noyes, and one sister, Mrs. John Lynch. He was a kind neighbor, a loving husband and father, and commanded the respect of all who knew him. He had a large circle of friends who mourn his death. The funeral was held at the home Friday, December 1, at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev G. R. Lawellin. Interment was in Mount Hope cemetery.
