Description	:	George Jacoby, 86, for 65 years a resident of Nelson, died Sunday in Clyde, Kan., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.J. Jacoby. His health had failed rapidly since a heart attack onf Nov. 31 and he had been in Clyde for a little over two weeks. George Jacoby, son of John and Elizabeth Jacoby, was born April 22, 1866, and passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 1952, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.J. George Jacoby, son of John and Elizabeth Jacoby, was born April 22, 1866, and passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 1952, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.J. Jacoby of Clyde, Kan., at the age of 86 years, 8 months. He came to Nelson at the age of 21. He was married to Alice Troudt on Feb. 23, 1893, and to this union five children were born. Their home has been in Nelson, except for six months spent in Topeka, Kan. His wife, Alice, preceded him in death on May 24, 1947. He is survived by his five children: Mrs. J.L. Sawdey of Waldport, Ore.; Mrs. J.J. Jacoby of Clyde, Kan.; John Jacoby of Los Angeles, Calif.; Ed Jacoby of Superior; and Mrs. E.E. Lockard of Hastings; two grandsons, Orval Jacoby of Topeka, Kan., and Donald Jacoby of Superior, and one great grandson, Tommy Jacoby of Topeka, Kan. One grandson preceded him in death. Services were held at the Klawitter chapel in Nelson Wednesday afternoon. The Reverend Harold Coates officiated. Interment was in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
