Description	:	George Binau, third son of George J. and Elizabeth Binau of Upper Sandusky, Wyandot County, Ohio was born November 3, 1856, on a farm near Upper Sandusky. There he grew to manhood. He died suddenly at is home in Allerton, Iowa May 17, 1929, aged 72 years, 6 months and 14 days. In April of 1880 he came to Wayne County, Iowa and settled on a farm near Humeston. He died suddenly at is home in Allerton, Iowa May 17, 1929, aged 72 years, 6 months and 14 days. In April of 1880 he came to Wayne County, Iowa and settled on a farm near Humeston. On March 5, 1882 he was married to Ida G. Hulsebus of Lewisburg, Iowa. To this union six children were born, two sons and four daughters. They are George R. of Allerton, Laura E. Newingham of Longton, Kansas, Hannah K., Karl B., Lena E. Gibbs, and Margaret all of Allerton. In the spring of 1886 he purchased a farm west of Allerton, where he moved with his wife and two children and lived there for twenty-seven years. In July of 1913 he moved to Allerton where he spent the reaminder of his life. When fourteen years of age, Mr. Binau was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran faith and became a member of the Lutheran Church near his home. After coming to Iowa he was a member of the Lutheran Church near Humeston for many years. Later he joined the Methodist Episcopal Church at New Zion. When he moved to Allerton he transferred his membership to the Methodist Church there. He was a faithful member, always attending services whenever possible and being greatly interested in all activities of the church. Although he had been in failing health for several years he went to bed apparently as well as usual on Thursday evening, but the call came quietly while he was sleeping during the quiet morning hours and without waking he went home to be with the Savior whom he loved. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, the six children, who are all present, ten grandchildren and one great grand daughter, four brothers, Albert J. of Shenandoah, John, Henry and Louis Binau and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Stief all of Ohio, and a host of other relatives and friends. The parents, three sisters, and two brothers have preceded him in death. Mr. Binau was a thoughful, loving husband, a kind, affectionate father and a faighful friend and will be greatly missed in his home and in the community.
