Brown, 86, died at his home, 427 Sylvan, Wednesday morning at 11:30 o'clock after a week's sickness. Mr. Brown was born in Kingston, Province of Ontario, Canada, July 22, 1841. He was married to Sarah Bradley in Pennsylvania, January 10, 1867. Mr. and Mrs. Brown came to Emporia in 1872, and Mr. Brown did railroad construction work out of Emporia for many years. He was married to Sarah Bradley in Pennsylvania, January 10, 1867. Mr. and Mrs. Brown came to Emporia in 1872, and Mr. Brown did railroad construction work out of Emporia for many years. Mr. Brown is survived by two children, R. M. Brown, of Dodge City, and Mrs. W. M. Wells, with whom he made his home. One daughter died in infancy, and another daughter, Mrs. S. M. Brewster, died in Topeka in 1918. Mrs. Brown died December 26, 1906.
