Giltner, 75, prominent Wapello County farmer, died at 11:45 a.m. today at his home on Ottumwa Route 1. He was born and lived his entire life on the same farm he died. The son of Alex and Abigail Giltner, he was born June 2, 1870. He married Miss Josie Jay on August 19, 1896. Funeral Notice From "Ottumwa Courier," December 21, 1945: Funeral services for George R. Giltner, prominent Agency Township farmer and stockman who died at his home Thursday morning will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Agency Methodist Church. The Rev. U.S. Smith will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. Wilmer Doughty. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery.
