Bently, died at his home near Stratford, Feb. 8, aged 41 years and 28 days. He was one of the family of thirteen children, nine sons and four daughters, all surviving him, but one brother. Bently, died at his home near Stratford, Feb. 8, aged 41 years and 28 days. He was one of the family of thirteen children, nine sons and four daughters, all surviving him, but one brother. Mr. Bently was married at Gowrie, to Miss Minurva Bawman on Oct. 30th, 1881. To this union there were born three children. One son and three daughters, one daughter preceded her father to the other world. Mr. Bently was a member of the M. E. church and a consistent member of this society. For a long time he was seriously afflicted, but during all his afflictions he was patient and hopeful, his expressed desire to live was from intense love for his family. Mr. Bently was conscious and able to converse with loved ones up to an hour before his death. In the death of Mr. Bently the community has lossed an excellent citizen, the church a devoted member, and the family a loving husband and father. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Sunday Feb. 11, conducted by Rev. C.F. Johnson after which the remains were interred in Oakland (should be Oakwood) cemetery.
