Skinner Passes Away Sunday George Wesley Skinner was born at Marietta, Ohio, December 10, 1878 and died at his home in Edgar, Nebr., March 12, 1933, at the age of 54 years, 3 months and 2 days. When he was two years old his parents moved to Red Willow County, Nebraska, living there three years and then moved to Iowa residing there six years and returned to Nebraska where he resided until his death. He joined the Methodist Church at Davenport, Nebr., when a young man. His father preceded him in death October 1, 1917. He leaves to mourn his going, his mother, five sisters, Rose May King of Superior, Nebr.; Mary Ann Shipley of South Gate, Calif.; Flora Ellen Kinnison of Wymore, Nebr.; Mable Marie Beebe of Beatrice and Nellie Leola Shaw of Edgar, also four brothers, John Riley of Ruskin, Charles Marcus, James Otha and Arthur Roy all of Edgar., also a number of nieces and nephews. He spent his life at home with his mother to whom he was very devoted and was always anxious for her welfare. He Is Just Away You cannot say, you must not say, That he is dead. He is just away, With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand He has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since he lingers there; So think of him fairing on as dear In the love of There as the love of Here; Think of him still as the same, and say He is not dead--he is just away. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday, March 14, conducted by Rev S. G. Rasmusson. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery.
