G. BONNER DIES; NECK BROKEN IN FALL L. Gerald Bonner, 60, of Floris route 1, died Sunday morning at Ottumwa hospital of injuries suffered 10 days earlier when he fell from a porch. He broke his neck in the fall. Authorities assumed he had fallen from the porch on the side of Brown's Antique shop, 1626 East Main streer. A passer-by saw him lying on the ground beneath that porch and called for the emergency ambulance the night of March 20. He was born August 18, 1897 at Troy, the son of Ralph and Estella Grosvenor Bonner. He was married August 6, 1925, at Lancaster, Mo., to Louise Lincoln, who survives. He had worked for John Morrell & Co for the past 16 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Norma Canny of Eldon, Miss Lois Bonner of Ottumwa, Mrs. Loretta Wiggins of Hedrick; five sons, Gerald L. Bonner of Ft. Ord, Calif., Virgil B. Bonner of Ottumwa, Jack, Larry and Kermit, all of the home; two brothers, Clayton Bonner of Troy and Lloyd Bonner of Iowa City; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, a brother and three daughters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Reece funeral home with the Rev. R. N. Coolidge, pastor of the Church of God, in charge. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery at Floris.
