She graduated from Alliance High School in 1951. She was married to Roger H. Richardson of Hay Springs on Dec. 25, 1952. She helped him in the farm/ranch operation since their marriage. When her children were grown, she worked at the Security First Bank of Hay Springs until her retirement in 1997. Read More	Geraldine Richardson, 70 Sept 22, 1932-Feb 25, 2003 HAY SPRINGS - Geraldine R. "Jerre" Richardson, 70, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, at her home. She was born Sept. 22, 1932, at Scottsbluff. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1951. She was married to Roger H. Richardson of Hay Springs on Dec. 25, 1952. She helped him in the farm/ranch operation since their marriage. When her children were grown, she worked at the Security First Bank of Hay Springs until her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking for harvest and cattle crews, and was an avid Nebraska Husker fan. Most of all, she cherished family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Roger of Hay Springs; daughters Rogene "Jeanie" (Mike) Ashley of Hay Springs, Cyndi Richardson-Rogers of Alliance, Angel (Mick) Franey and Amy Midkiff of Chadron; son Ryan Richardson of Hay Springs; grandchildren, Banner Green and Talia Adams of Loveland, Colo., Courtney Jones of Hay Springs and Chace Franey of Chadron; step-grandchildren PFC Dustin Rogers, currently stationed in Germany; Dana Rogers and fiancŽ Heath Croghan of Norfolk; and Great-grandson Alex Steinback of Loveland. She also is survived by one sister, Donna Dendy of Gering, brother Milroy "MJ" (Carolyn) Morrison of Benson, Ariz.; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Milroy Morrison; mother and step-father, Pearl and Dallas Ferbrache of Alliance; sister Norma Vohland of Gering; and grandson Jake Green of Alliance. Mrs. Richardson's funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Mirage Flats, south of Hay Springs, with Rev. Elwood B. Hipple Jr., officiating, and Pat Runkle assisting. Burial will follow at the Mirage Flats Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Hay Springs School-Community Foundation or the Jake Green Young Farmer Memorial Scholarship. Chamberlain-Drabbels Mortuary of Hay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
