Description	:	Gerrit J. Kempers, 81, Sioux Center, died Monday at his home of an apparent heart attack. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the First Reformed Church at Sioux Center. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. Mr. Kempers was born May 13, 1898 at rural Hull. He married Sadie Scholten Jan. 15, 1920 at Hull. They lived on a farm near Hull until 1946 when they retired to Sioux Center.
