Description	:	Dayton Review Wednesday, July 14, 1976 Services held for Gertie Kinsey Funeral services for Mrs. Gertie Kinsey, 91, Dayton, were held Saturday, July 10. Rev. William Cotton conducted the 1:30 p.m. services in the Dayton United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Dayton Cemetery. Mrs. Kinsey passed away Thursday morning, July 8, at the Grandview Care Center, Dayton, where she had been a patient for the past three and a half years. Pall bearers were Charles Kinsey, Lance Kinsey, Bruce Kinsey, Darrell Kinsey, David Williamson and Glen Gurgett. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Opal Collins, Miller, S.D.; Mrs. Emma Burgett, Panora; Mrs. Maxine Williamson, Leavenworth, Kan.; Mrs. Marjorie McKown, Bettendorf; sons, Kenneth and Dwight, both of Dayton; John, Lehigh; Vernon, Boone; Darwyn, Corwith; 34 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Gertie Waters was born at Homer and attended country schools in that area. In 1902, she married Walter Kinsey and the couple moved to Miller, S.D., where they engaged in farming. Mr Kinsey died in Miller in 1944. In 1946, Mrs. Kinsey and her family returned to the Dayton area. She had resided here since that time. She was a member of the Dayton Woman's Relief Corps and the Lehigh Rebekah Lodge.
