Description	:	Gertrude Younker, 93, of Beulah, ND died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Derek Harkins officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah. Gertrude was born on March 11, 1921 in Mannhaven, ND to George and Regina (DeWald) Sailer. She lived with her family on a farm in the Red Butte area, south of Hazen, until 1936 when the family moved to Beulah. She graduated from Beulah High School in 1940. She married Fred Younker in Wibaux, MT on February 7, 1942. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran. Fred passed away July 30, 1985 and several years later she moved to Bismarck. She was active with the Friendship Circle at Faith Lutheran, Senior Club and Germans from Russia in Bismarck. Gertrude's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a blessing to her. She made afghans and quilts for them and loved to shop for them all. She is survived by one son, Gary (Cheryl) Younker of Beulah; one daughter, Pamela (Robert) Miller of Hazen; four grandchildren, Shawn (Jeff) Kuntz of Bismarck, Mark Younker of Temecula, CA, Brett Miller of Maple Grove, MN, and Ryan (Lindsey) Miller of Hutchinson, MN; nine great-grandchildren, Kalyanne, Riley, Logan, Payton, Morgan, Ethan, Loren, Julia and Kinley; one step-great-grandson, Josh (Rachel) Kuntz; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Hannah; one sister-in-law, Maxine Younker. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; four brothers, Hugo, Gotthold, Hildebert and Andrew; four sisters, Lillian Elhardt, Emma Sasse, Frieda Heihn and Bertha Chruszch. The family of Gertrude would like to thank the staff of Sakakawea Hospice and the Knife River Care Center for all of their care.
