Description	:	Gertrude (Gerty) Irene Garber, daughter of George Franklin and Laura Elizabeth (Galloway) Ormsbee, was born January 21, 1912, at Smith Center, Kansas. She passed away Monday, April 6, 1998, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 17 days. She attended Smith Center schools. December 30, 1928, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, Gerty married Nathan Russell Garber. To this union three daughters were born, Donna, Arlene and Ilene. Preceding her in death were her husband on January 29, 1975; a daughter, Donna Christensen, on September 11, 1996; four sisters and two brothers. Survivors... Jacoby of Superior, Nebraska; one brother, William Henry Ormsbee of Mankato, Kansas; eight grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 1998, 2 p.m., from Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with Rev. Sam L. Reed officiating. Music will be "Beyond The Sunset" and "Rock of Ages", with Travis Butler as soloist and Sherri Poole, pianist. Pallbearers are Mick White, Brian Judy, Chester Marr, Norman Shafer, Randall Wagner and Russell Johnson. Honorary pallbearer is Aubrey Christensen. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior.
