Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery. ******************************************* Americus Greeting, Wednesday, November 5, 1924; p. 1, c. 3 Mrs. Charley Jaquith Gertrude Milliken was born Nov. 8, 1881, at Ada, Kan., and died at her home Sunday, Nov. 2, 1924, at the age of 42 years, 11 months and 24 days. She came to Lyon county in December 1900, and was married to Charley Jaquith, Dec. 20, 1905, who with two sons, Davillo A., and Clair K., survive. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.D. Milliken of Emporia; one brother C. [?] Milliken of Americus, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Grimsley, also of Americus and May Milliken of Emporia. Mrs. Jaquith united with the Baptist church of Ada, Kas., in early childhood, but later joined the United Brethern Church of this place. She was a devoted church worker and died strong in the faith of Christ. A loving and devoted wife and mother and kind neighbor has passed on and will be greatly missed by those who know and loved her. The funeral was held from the Mr. Hermon church, and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. O.S. Jones. Burial was made in the Maplewood cemetery of Emporia.
