Description	:	Services for Mrs. Scott (Gladine) Bingham, 79, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at the Groton United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Paepke officiating. Burial was in the Groton Union Cemetery. The Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bingham died Sunday, March 8, at the Americana Healthcare Center in Aberdeen. Casket bearers were Harvey Dorfschmidt, Wally Fischer, Martin Huber, Hiran Kolbo, Tom Paepke and Lee Schinkel. Mrs. Gene Cassels was the organist and the congregation sang “How Great Thow Art” and “Rock of Ages”. Gladine Litzkow was born May 23, 1901, at Grundy Center, Iowa. She moved with her family to the Groton-Andover area at the age of one. She grew up here and married Scott Bingham September 9, 1922, at Aberdeen. She had lived in the Groton area since that time. She was a member of the Groton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and was a member and past noble grand of the Rebakah Lodge. Survivors include two sons, Carrol, Saratoga, Calif.; and Darrel, Minneapolis, Minn.; seven daughters, Mrs. M.B. (Margaret) McCary, Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Marvin (Marion) May, Groton; Mrs. Betty Eckert and Mrs. Thomas (Sondra) Lierman, both of Menominee, Wis.; Miss Glenda Bingham, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Patricia Ladika, Simi Valley, Calif.; and Mrs. M. (Yula) Nunes, San Martin, Calif.; two brothers, Glen Litzkow, Spring Valley, Wis., and Raymond Litzkow, Jackson, Miss.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, one grandson and one great-grandson. Published in the Groton Independent March 18, 1981
