She was born on June 9, 1917 in Schaller, the daughter of Ele and Nellie (King) Ayers. She moved to Emmet County as a young girl and received her education. After her mother's death in 1934, she cared for her father until his death in 1949. In 1950 she was united in marriage to Richard Andre. The couple made their home in the Des Moines area for 40 years. She was a member of the Indianola Heights Christian Church and its Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Estherville. She enjoyed caring for children, crocheting and needlework crafts. She is survived by her son, Delbert of Des Moines; her sister, Rachol Holl of Dolliver and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
