She was born November 6, 1912, at Bookwalter, NE, to Fred Larimer and Merle Verena Moser Robison, the fourth of seven children. She attened rural elementary schools including Prairie Star and Pleasant Ridge. She graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1930. She married Clarence John Werner on October 23, 1930, in Hiawatha, KS. They farmed in Kansas, south of Pawnee City, until they moved to Pawnee City in 1969. Clarence died in 1972. She was born November 6, 1912, at Bookwalter, NE, to Fred Larimer and Merle Verena Moser Robison, the fourth of seven children. She attened rural elementary schools including Prairie Star and Pleasant Ridge. She graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1930. She married Clarence John Werner on October 23, 1930, in Hiawatha, KS. They farmed in Kansas, south of Pawnee City, until they moved to Pawnee City in 1969. Clarence died in 1972. Gladys had been a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, south of Pawnee City for many years. She was active in Ladies Aid at that church and was a member of the State Line Club and the Goldenrod Club. She was active in taking the census in Nemaha Co., KS, and served regularly on the election board. She worked for many years at Warnkes One Stop. Survivors are her children, Verena Marie Fleming, Pawnee City; Mrs. Clarence Fisher; rural Pawnee City; sisters, Virginia Clinton, Pawnee City; Marguerite Russ, Seneca; brothers, Arthur Robison, Ilwaco, WA; James Robison, Lincoln, NE; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchilren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; sister, Ruth Robison Russ; and brother, Fred Robison. Funeral services were held November 12, 1996, at Wherry Mortuary in Pawnee City, NE. Burial was in Pawnee City cemetery.
