Description	:	Gladys Marie Gallion, the daughter of James Eugene and Millie (Elwell) Woodward, was born on October 26, 1905, in Chester NE. She was baptized as an infant at the Methodist Church in Chester and graduated from Chester High school in 1924. She furthered her education by attending Nebraska Wesleyan and the University of Nebraska. On June 2, 1931 Gladys was united in marriage to Judson Barclay Gallion in a triple wedding with her sisters at her parents home in Chester. Read More	Gladys Marie Gallion, the daughter of James Eugene and Millie (Elwell) Woodward, was born on October 26, 1905, in Chester NE. She was baptized as an infant at the Methodist Church in Chester and graduated from Chester High school in 1924. She furthered her education by attending Nebraska Wesleyan and the University of Nebraska. On June 2, 1931 Gladys was united in marriage to Judson Barclay Gallion in a triple wedding with her sisters at her parents home in Chester. The lived in Chester for 36 years where Gladys was an elementary school teacher and co-managed a business with her husband. In 1966 they moved to Albion. Gladys joined the O.E.S. in 1924 and received her 70 year pin. She was also a member of the Methodist Women's Club and extension clubs in which she held various offices. In 1917 she joined the Methodist Church and was very active in Chester and Albion. Gladys passed away at her home on Wed., May 1, 1996 following a long illness. She was 90 years of age. She is survived by her husband J.B.; one daughter, Marilee Niewohner and husband Delbert, Albion; two sons, Lawrence and wife Barbara, Clinton, SC, and David and wife Gloria, Albion; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Doris Sigrist, Orange, CA, Wilma Rogers and husband Gilbert, Des Moines, IA, Helen Minor and husband Wilber, Kearney, and Norma Haist and husband Keith, Hastings. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Hazel Palmer, brother Burns Woodward, and grandson Bryce Gallion. Services were held Monday, May 6, 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Albion, officiating by Rev. Eric Biehl. Casket bearers were Sue Lotz, Scot Gallion, Todd Gallion, Tim Gallion, Linda Spiegel, Joel Gallion, Jeff Gallion, Kelly Hovey, Leanne Gallion, Mark Niewohner, Matt Niewohner, Jerry Niewohner and Steve Niewohner. Interment was made at the Chester Cemetery, 3 p.m., Monday, May 6.
