She was born at home on a farm close to Lewellen, Nebraska and spent her growing up years in Garden County, Nebraska. She spent much of her adult life in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where she was an administrative secretary for B & C Steel. She was born at home on a farm close to Lewellen, Nebraska and spent her growing up years in Garden County, Nebraska. She spent much of her adult life in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where she was an administrative secretary for B & C Steel. She moved to Mesa, AZ in the late 1980's where she worked for the Arizona State Board of Nursing, retired and lived her last 25 years there very happily. She graduated from Garden County High School in 1950. Her friends then and now remember her as vivacious, fun-loving, and witty. Her sense of humor was contagious. She was making others laugh until her last day with us. She loved her husband, family, friends and her Lord with all of her heart. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Della Rook; her husband, Perry Steadman, and her husband Carl Vohland. She will be missed so very much by her loving husband, Don Jeske, her daughter, Dianna Steadman (Don) Kluttz, her three grandchildren; Scott Kluttz, Christina Bowles and Kim Blankenship; and her five great grandchildren, Savannah and Daniel Bowles, and Faith, Hope and David Blankenship. She will be sorely missed by sister Faye Rook Wright, and her stepdaughter, Linda (Rick) Morud. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, and all who knew her well know that her wonderful personality has already brought joy and laughter into the courts of Heaven. A Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, March 30th in Mesa, AZ. She will be laid to rest at the Ash Hollow Cemetery near Lewellen, Nebraska. Order of marriages (need to verify all; Perry Steadman est. 1951, Carl E Vohland 5 Jul 1968, Mr. Haupt , Donald R Jeske. * * * Management taken over from FAG on 8 Jul 2021.
