She was born December 24, 1930 at Caribou, Maine, the daughter of Antone and Willamina Morin Soucie. Gloria was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton and the Altar Society at the church. Read More	Gloria Elizabeth King (December 24, 1930 - December 26, 2008) HOLTON – Gloria Elizabeth King, 78, of Holton, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at her home. She was born December 24, 1930 at Caribou, Maine, the daughter of Antone and Willamina Morin Soucie. Gloria was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton and the Altar Society at the church. She married Kenneth Robert King January 1, 1953 at Reno, Nevada . He died September 12, 2007. Gloria was also preceded in death by three sisters, Aura Covaca, Marion Damboise and Maureen Carlstrom, and four brothers, Morris Soucie, Samuel Soucie, Paul Soucie and Delphus Soucie. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Wilcox and husband Paul, Holton; three sons, Kenneth Paul King and wife Christine, Providence, R.I., and Brian King and wife Dawna and Mark King and wife Diana, all of Vacaville, CA; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Gloria volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader, during which she received many acknowledgements, including the prestigious Silver Bear Award for commitment to the development of youth. She volunteered her time to Holy Spirit School in Fairfield, California, serving on many committees over the years. Gloria continued to volunteer her time to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, when the increasing community size required a second Catholic church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30th at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Holton. Gloria will lie in state Monday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton where a Parish Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.., followed by visitation. Memorials are suggested to St. Dominic Catholic Church or Holton Community Hospital , and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1034 , Holton, 66436.
