Description	:	Gotfred Flax, 72, of Ransom passed away at the Grisell Memorial Hospital there on Friday, January 31, after an extended illness. He had lived at Ransom since 1959. He was born on August 8, 1896, at Pojana, Mikuli, Rumania, and married Catherine Weber at Ellis on January 19, 1920. She died January 20, 1967. He was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Ransom. Funeral services were held from the church Tuesday morning, February 4, with the pastor, Rev. A.B. Dziemian, conducting.
