Read More	OBITUARY---OHIOWA DEATH OF FRED SCHUBPACH In th death of Fred Schupback which took place on Friday, April 7, 1922, Ohiowa has suffered the loss of a good citizen. His influence in the life of his friends was large and blessed . His last illness was brief, death being due to heart failure. His last message, after much suffering was "I am going home". Gottfried Schupbach was born at Berne , Switzerland, September 16, 1847/ In 1851 he came to Americaa with his parents, who located in Madison County , Illinois. In 1866, he was united in marriage to Lydia J. Hubbartt. To this union were born nine children, eight of whom are living. In the spring of 1881 he , with his family, located on a farm four miles northwest of Ohiowa on which they resided until the spring of 1907, when they moved to their present residence. Death came April 7, 1922, athe the age of 74 years, 6 months and 22 days. Those left to mourn his loss are his wife, five son , Charles of Wilber, Erwin of Geneva, Winfield of Geneva, Erastus of Torrington, Wyo., and Mrs. J.A. Cloyd of Pine Bluff, Wyo., Mrs. Ed Hall of Ohiowa route one and Mrs. Charles Flick of Gering, Neb. One daughter preceded him in death in 1890. Besides his immediate family, he leaves one brother, Adolph Schupbach of Cliffton Hill, MO.,seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren an a host of friends. All his children and his brother were present during his illness and burial. Mrs. Schupbach was converted when fifteen years of age and jouined the Evangelical church, continuing in that fellouship his death. At his home a short funeral Service was held Sunday, April 9, at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. A.F. stearns, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church. The furnera service followed at the Methodist church. The singing was in charge of a quartet, G.J. muir, Mrs. J.C. Theobald, Mrs. Albert Stonwell and E.C. Adams. His five sons and his son-in-law, C.W. Hall, acted as pallbearers. His body was laid to rest in the Ohiowa Cemetery. Those in attendance at the funeral beside the children and the uncle mentioned were Mrs. Charles Schupbach of Wilber, Mrs. Erwin Schupbach and children of Geneva, Mrs. Pearl Schubpach and daugther,Imorgene, Lincoln, Mrs. J.D. Cloyd and grandson, Hebron, Mrs. Mary Cellan, a sister of Mr. Schupbach, Geneva, C.A. Cellan and sons of Ong., Mr and Mrs. Will Smith of Angus, Tom Drummond of Torrington, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. C. Moor and Mrs. Will Merrill of Geneva.
