Wiese, who officiated, read a service based on Psalms 90, verses 8-12. The music for the funeral was furnished by the Lutheran choir and Ross Robinson, C.C. Lille, Oscar Weitzel, Henry Hess, Emil Hess and Ralph Wade acted as pall bearers. The Olerich Funeral Co. were in charge of all arrangements and burial was made in the Wall Lake cemetery beside his wife. Gottlieb Reinhart Wiese, son of Michael and Henrietta Wiese, was born in Lebenke, Germany on he 5th of January in 1886 and died at his home early Monday morning of January 27th, 1941. He was baptized in his infancy a member of the Lutheran church and in 1879 was confirmed by Reverend Englemann. For the past several years he has been a member of good standing in the Emmanuel Lutheran church at Lake View and died with the full assurance that eternal life was only through faith in Christ as the Savior. At the age of 17, Mr. Wiese came from Germany to make his home in the Wall Lake vicinity. On February 2nd, 1890 he was united in marriage to Minnie Schulte. To this union were born three children all of whom are living. They are John Wiese of Wall Lake; Lillie, wife of John Knecht of Early; and Maggie, wife of H. Jacobsen of Sac City. Shortly after the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Wiese they moved to Minnesota where they lived for several years. Upon their return to Sac county, Mr. Wiese bought a farm in Wall Lake vicinity which has been the family home for several years and at the present time is being run by a son, John. Twenty-three years ago Mr. Wiese retired from active farming to make his home in Lake View, where he has resided until the time of his death. Mrs. Wiese preceded her husband in death four years ago. Among those who remain to mourn the loss of one dear are the three children, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Nomsen of Wall, and nine grandchildren. The Lake View Resort - 1/30/1941 -------------------------
