Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. John Knecht, 74, were held from the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home at Sac City, at 2 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Knecht died December 13, 1966, at Twilight Acres, Wall Lake, after a lengthy illness. The Rev. Edward D. Pierce of the First Baptist Church, Sac City, was the officiating clergyman. Burial was made in the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home. Pallbearers were Tony Engel, Kermit Chapman, John Irwin, Gilbert Herrig, Wayne Rabe and Earl Bettin. Mrs. Knecht was born Lillie Henrietta Wiese, daughter of Gottlieb and Minnie Schulte Wiese, October 29, 1892, near Pipestone, MN. She moved with her parents to a farm northwest of Wall Lake when she was three years of age and lived there until her marriage to John Knecht at Odebolt, January 14, 1915. Two children were born to this union. Mr. Knecht and the two children, Verne Knecht, Toledo, and Lola Oakley of Santa Clara, Calif., survive. Also mourning her death are six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hans (Maggie) Jacobsen of Sac City; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Mrs. Knecht was baptized when she was an infant. She was a member of thr Clinton Clique Club and was a 4-H leader for many years.
