Description	:	Published in The Rochester Sentinel Monday, July 18, 1966 Grace Mason Mrs. Grace MASON, 79, longtime Rochester librarian, died Saturday at 7 p.m. at Wesley Manor Methodist Home, Frankfort, where she resided. Mrs. Mason was librarian for the Rochester-Fulton county library over 40 years, from 1912-53, and during that time became an accepted authority on library procedure and was author of numerous articles for library periodicals. She is credited with originating mobile library service to rural communities, the Bookmobile in Fulton county being the first of its kind in this state. Mrs. Mason was librarian for the Rochester-Fulton county library over 40 years, from 1912-53, and during that time became an accepted authority on library procedure and was author of numerous articles for library periodicals. Mrs. Mason often was speaking at state meetings of librarians. She was born in Fulton July 23, 1886, the daughter of Peter and Mary Ann EIKELBERNER STINGLEY and moved to this city as a child after her father was elected county surveyor. Her marriage was June 29, 1929, to William Walter MASON, who died Jan. 9, 1957. She was a 1905 graduate of Rochester high school, attended DePauw university three years and graduated with a librarian degree from the University of Wisconsin. Mrs. Mason was a member of the Grace Methodist church, Manitou chapter of DAR, the American Library Association and was past secretary of the Indiana Library Association. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Arthur W. WILSON, South Bend. Last rites will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Amanda Reid chapel at Wesley Manor Methodist Home, Frankfort, with the Rev. Carlyle MASON, superintendent of the Home, officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call at Wesley Manor from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
