She was born on Aug. 17, 1926, at rural Adams and attended Coffman Country School, District 45 of rural Adams. She was a hired girl around the Adams area and was married to Thomas Harms in July of 1946 in Marysville, Kan. Read More	****************************************** Grace Harms, 77, Beatrice, died Friday morning, May 14, 2004, at the Beatrice Manor Care Center. She was born on Aug. 17, 1926, at rural Adams and attended Coffman Country School, District 45 of rural Adams. She was a hired girl around the Adams area and was married to Thomas Harms in July of 1946 in Marysville, Kan. They lived in Beatrice for a short time and then lived and farmed east of Pickrell until 1959 when they moved into Pickrell. In 1971, they moved to Beatrice. She worked at Formfit as a seamstress and supervisor from 1956 until its closing. She was also a waitress at the American Legion Club, worked at Stan's and did babysitting in her home. She was a foster grandparent at the Blue Valley Head Start Program for many years. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She was also a member of the Legion and VFW Auxiliaries and BPO Does Drove 10 all of Beatrice. Her hobbies included sewing, bingo and her dog, Sparky. Survivors: daughter, Linda Andersen and special friend Kenny Thomas of Beatrice; sister, Elizabeth Rademacher of Adams; brothers, Henry Buss and wife Clara, Walter Buss and wife Ruth all of Adams, Alvin Buss and wife Barbara of Beatrice; sisters-in-law, Leona Waltke of Broken Arrow, Okla., Marlene Bell of Adams; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Krene and Fanny Harms Buss; husband, Thomas (Feb. 5, 1987); brothers, John and Alfred Buss; and brother-in-law, Lubbe Rademacher. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Beatrice, Pastor Donald Legacie officiating. Burial: Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday in the fellowship hall of the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with Wilfred and Eleanor Ideus in charge. The body will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until 9 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home, Beatrice, and at the church one hour preceding the services on Monday.
