Description	:	Grace King, third child of William P. and Emma Berry King, was born September 10, 1885, near Beallsville, Monroe County, Ohio. She passed away in the Lincoln General Hospital November 18, 1969, at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 8 days. Read More	Grace King, third child of William P. and Emma Berry King, was born September 10, 1885, near Beallsville, Monroe County, Ohio. She passed away in the Lincoln General Hospital November 18, 1969, at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 8 days. She grew to womanhood in Beallsville, O., where she became a member of the Presbyterian Church. In 1907 she came to Lincoln, Neb., with her family to make their home. She was united in marriage to Alva Lee Brown, December 1, 1908, at Council Bluffs, Ia. They established their home in Fairmont, where they resided for more than 60 years of married life. To this union three children were born, William King, Phyllis Grace and Virginia Lee. Mrs. Brown was a chart member of the Fairmont Woman's club and the S.A.K. For many years she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Mt. Moriah Chapter No. 38, Order of the Eastern Star and the B.B. Club. She was on the Fairmont township board, serving as justice of the peace. She was a member of the Fairmont United Church of Christ, transferring her membership from Ohio into the Fairmont Presbyterian church in January, 1910. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her husband, Alva. She leaves to mourn her passing three children, William K. Brown and wife, Margaret of Phillipsburg, Kas., Phyllis Grace Mooring and husband, Edward, of Lincoln, Neb., and Virginia Lee of Bellevue, Neb.; four grandchildren, Susan and Alan Brown of Phillipsburg and Ester and Eileen Mooring of Lincoln; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Angert of Salem, Ore.; other relatives, many friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held at the Fairmont United Church of Christ at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 20, Rev. Paul Walker officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith sang, accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Swartz. Pallbearers were Ralph Keil, Don Beavers, Bernard Lovegrove, Russell Snodgrass, Hubert McClellan and Melvin Ackerman. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
