Description	:	Virginia Lee Brown, daughter of Alva Lee and Grace King Brown was born at Fairmont on May 18, 1919, and passed away at the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 64 years, three months and 20 days. She was baptized at the Fairmont Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Federated Church, now the Fairmont Community Church. She attended the public school in Fairmont and graduated in the class of 1936. Virginia loved music and was a soloist for many occasions. Read More	Virginia Lee Brown, daughter of Alva Lee and Grace King Brown was born at Fairmont on May 18, 1919, and passed away at the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 64 years, three months and 20 days. She was baptized at the Fairmont Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Federated Church, now the Fairmont Community Church. She attended the public school in Fairmont and graduated in the class of 1936. Virginia loved music and was a soloist for many occasions. During W.W.II, she managed the base exchange at the Fairmont Airfield and later was in the local grocery business. In 1954, she returned to the base exchange and worked in Lincoln and Omaha, until her retirement. Virginia had many friends and she enjoyed gardening, painting and her family. She was a member of the Fairmont Mt. Mariah Chapter 38, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis of Lincoln; her brother, William of Towanda, Ks.; three nieces, Susan Brown, Esther and Eileen Mooring; and a nephew, Alan L. Brown. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church on Friday, September 9, with the Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Roland R. Hall, who sang, "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were Melvin Ackerman, Sherman F. Ashby, Clyde R. Arbuck, Rex Brown, Alfred Jorgensen and Wayne Stone.
